LIVES ON EARTH
Environmental Educational Centre in Yim Tin Tzai
An environmental educational centre should be a platform for people, touching and feeling the environment, it should be a place helping people retrieve their natural instincts and connection with the Mother Earth.
This project is set at Yim Tin Tzai – previously a small village relying on salt pan industry, now a remote island close to Sai Kung. I intend to build a rammed earth pavilion like a building, aiming to provide semi-outdoor experience to the visitors.
This inspires visitors to articulate their own interpretation of nature rather than to be spoon-fed with chunks of overwhelming information.
